Loveland Area

In the Heart of it All

The sweetheart of Northern Colorado is the Loveland area – a community of affordable appeal, diverse industries, captivating culture and an unrivaled quality of life. The cities of Loveland and Berthoud offer a balance of historic personality and modern development buoyed by a young population.

No single industry dominates the two communities, which means professionals from software engineers to educators will find career development in areas like manufacturing, aerospace, health and wellness, agricultural sciences and technology. Employers include Lightning Systems, a homegrown automotive-technology manufacturer, email marketing giant Constant Contact, a Walmart Distribution Center and Agrium, a global leader in agricultural products and services.

As its name implies, Loveland is at the heart of the area. This is quite literally true with the city straddling U.S. Highway 34 and Interstate 25. Residents gain the benefit of lower-cost living while sitting between the state’s two major higher education systems, the University of Colorado in Boulder and Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Access to the state’s capital, Denver, is a straight shot down the interstate. At the doorway of Rocky Mountain National Park, both Loveland and Berthoud invite outdoor adventurers thanks to a robust parks and trails network, water sports, rock climbing and more.

Residents with an affection for arts will adore the Loveland area. The annual Art in the Park and Sculpture in the Park festivals in Loveland are two of the largest of its kinds in the United States. Sculptures take a different form a few miles away every December for the Berthoud Snowfest. When you’re ready to cultivate your own canvas, the Wildfire Community Arts Center in Berthoud offers classes, as well as performances and events across disciplines and for all ages.

Food and brews are Loveland area hallmarks, with unique eateries and craft beer breweries cropping up around the area. Nearly a dozen microbreweries call the community home, including Grimm Brothers Brewhouse, an award-winning brewpub specializing in, like the name implies, German beers. Dining, shopping and urban living collaborate in Loveland’s revitalized city center, where residents and visitors can rack up a high score on old school video games and pinball at The Flipside or take in live music at The Pourhouse.
